Money’s Best Places to Live 2013

The results are in, and Money Magazine’s Best Place to Live for 2013 is Sharon, Massachusetts. Each year, the magazine publishes a list of top towns (alternating between larger cities and smaller towns every other year).

This year, the editors paid especially close attention to how towns were faring economically, looking at unemployment rates, job growth, housing appreciation, affordability and much more.

After visiting (yes, they actually make the trek to see things for themselves) each of the top 3 dozen scorers, Money Magazine chose the Top 10. These winners are “not only thriving, they’ve also got all you could want in a place to raise a family: plenty of green space, good schools, a strong sense of community. No question that you’ll pay up to live in some of them, but you get a lot too.”
