Among the tools scheduled to be discussed are mobile marketing, Facebook and other social media, Google, photo and video importance, web marketing strategies, and cloud computing.

Real estate has gone high tech. Real estate agents are conducting virtual video house tours on YouTube. Listing domains allow real estate agents to personalize individual listings. DocuSign’s eSignature software allows deals to be closed long distance. QR codes allow buyers to obtain detailed listing information with a swipe of their phone. Mobile web sites make it easy for clients to obtain listing information and contact agents while they’re on the go. Cloud computing allows Realtors to access files and documents from any location or device.

Web-based technology, mobile technology, and social media have become essential real estate tools, making it critical that real estate professionals stay on top of the latest tech developments. With more people searching for homes on smart phones and tablets, apps are becoming an important search tool. More home buyers are relying exclusively on apps like House Hunter, GreatSchools and Houzz to search for homes.

In many areas, local real estate organizations are hosting events similar to NAR’s to help agents adapt to new technology. More real estate professionals are also turning to expert real estate technology sites like Properties Online for professional help implementing new technologies to grow their business.
